Sleep Apnea Treatment

Sleep apnea affects millions of patients and their loved ones and you may be missing out on some much-deserved rest on a nightly basis.  In addition, there are health risks associated with sleep apnea

Thankfully, sleep apnea and snoring can be successfully treated with a simple, non-invasive solution known as oral appliance therapy. An oral appliance can help you avoid surgery.

Oral Appliance Therapy

The most common form of sleep apnea is known as obstructive sleep apnea or OSA.  OSA is caused by a blocked airway and results from the tongue or lower jaw relaxing and closing off your air passage during sleep.  This prevents air from reaching the lungs for oxygenation and often causes snoring.

Your dentist made oral appliance prevents the jaw and lower tongue from dropping back into your throat.  This allows your airway to remain open and improve your ability to sleep and reduce snoring.
